Product Description
The ICS Triplex T8451 represents the pinnacle of fault-tolerant control, serving as a 24VDC Digital Output module for the Trusted TMR (Triple Modular Redundant) system. This module provides 40 high-integrity output channels, specifically designed to drive field loads like solenoids, actuators, and motor starters in safety-critical environments. By utilizing a TMR architecture, the T8451 ensures that no single internal component failure can compromise the safety function or cause an unnecessary process trip.
Furthermore, the T8451 delivers exceptional diagnostic transparency. It actively monitors field wiring for “Line Faults,” which allows operators to detect open and short circuits in real-time. Because the module measures both output voltage and current for every channel, it provides the logic solver with comprehensive feedback on the “Field Output State.” This level of precision makes it a primary choice for Emergency Shutdown (ESD) and Fire and Gas (F&G) systems.
