Product Description
The Triconex 3625 functions as a high-reliability digital output module designed for the Tricon Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) safety system. This module provides 32 isolated output points, specifically engineered to drive safety-critical loads such as solenoids, relays, and indicators. By utilizing the proprietary TMR architecture, the 3625 ensures that a single hardware failure cannot cause the system to lose control or enter an unsafe state.
Inside the module, three independent branches process the output signals and utilize a patented “quad” voter circuit to determine the final state of each output point. This voting mechanism effectively eliminates any single point of failure and allows the module to maintain operation even if one internal branch fails. Furthermore, the 3625 performs continuous “hot-line” diagnostics, checking for stuck-on and stuck-off conditions without interrupting the process signal.
Consequently, the 3625 is an essential component for Emergency Shutdown (ESD), Fire and Gas (F&G), and Burner Management Systems (BMS). The module supports hot-swapping, enabling maintenance personnel to replace a faulty unit online without shutting down the industrial process. Through its robust design and comprehensive fault detection, this module maximizes plant availability while meeting the strictest international safety standards.
