Product Description
The Triconex 3706A acts as a high-density sensory interface for the Tricon Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) controller, specifically designed to process low-level signals from temperature sensors. This module features 32 differential channels that support multiple thermocouple calibrations, including types J, K, T, and E. To ensure maximum process uptime, the hardware utilizes a triplicated architecture where three separate internal legs independently sample field data.
During the measurement cycle, each internal leg performs its own Cold Junction Compensation (CJC) to adjust for ambient temperature variations at the termination assembly. After processing these signals, the module broadcasts the digital values to the Main Processors (MPs) via the proprietary I/O bus. The MPs سپس employ a specialized mid-value selection algorithm to validate the data, which effectively filters out transient noise and prevents a single component failure from affecting the control logic.
