The Triconex 8110 serves as the primary structural and communication foundation for the Tricon Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) safety system. As a High-Density Main Chassis, it houses the core processors and provides the initial slots for I/O and communication modules. This chassis is specifically engineered for “safety-critical” environments, such as emergency shutdown (ESD) systems and fire and gas (F&G) monitoring, where system failure is not an option.
