The Triconex AI3351 is a high-precision Analog Input module specifically engineered for the Tricon Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) architecture. This module serves as the critical interface between field-mounted analog sensors—such as pressure transmitters, flow meters, and temperature transducers—and the safety system’s Main Processors. By utilizing three independent input paths for every signal, the AI3351 ensures that no single point of failure can cause a false trip or, more importantly, a failure to trip. The module converts traditional 4–20 mA or 0–10 V DC signals into digital data with extreme reliability, making it a standard choice for SIL 3 safety loops in hazardous industrial environments.
